Scott Inglis-Kidger holds an MA in Music from Cambridge University, where he sang in the choirs of Jesus and King’s College. He specialised in early music, conducting and musical science. He studied voice with David Lowe and performed many solo recitals as a countertenor. He performed across Europe with King's College Choir, most notably the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Royal Albert Hall in London. He also took part in the BBC broadcast of Carols from King's. Between 2006 and 2009, Scott was Director of Music and Master of the Choristers at Willington School, Wimbledon, where he established the Willington School Choristers. With this group he performed on national television and radio. Between 2009 and 2011, Scott took was Director of Music at Thomas's Battersea. Under Scott's direction, the Choristers and School Orchestra gave joint performances with the Gentlemen of St John’s College, Cambridge, and the Southbank Sinfonia, respectively. He is founder and Artistic Director of The Platinum Consort, a professional vocal ensemble specialising in music of the sixteenth century and newly commissioned works. The consort, usually eight-strong, boasts some of the best young singers in Britain. Scott is also founder and Artistic Director of Battersea Choral Workshops, for which the 2011 theme is Tallis to Whitacre. Please see the website, www.batterseachoral.co.uk, for more details. Scott has conducted Thomas's Choral Society since 2009 and has directed sell-out performances of Haydn’s Creation, Duruflé’s Requiem, Charpentier’s Te Deum, Mozart’s Coronation Mass, Pergolesi’s Magnificat and, most recently, Vivaldi's Gloria and Purcell's Come, ye sons of Art, away.
